2012 Ducati Panigale S Ergos
Ergos
The Panigale feels tiny yet the ergos aren’t that bad. But there’s a TTX shock jabbing you in the left leg at stops, and the rear header coiled under the seat makes this the hottest Ducati we’ve ridden.

These curves don’t look that different from the old 1198’s, but that trough between 4500 and 7500 rpm is more pronounced, while the slope above 8000 rpm is steeper.

2012 MV Agusta F4R | Price: $19,498

2012 MV Agusta F4R Ergos
Ergos
The MV’s bars feel just about level with the seat because they nearly are. It’s a long reach, making the F4R pretty hard on your wrists and back, while exhaust heat puts the hurt on your backside.
2012 MV Agusta F4R Dyno
Dyno
Less stroke should mean less midrange power, but the F4R feels pretty fierce, and sounds stupendous. Power ramps up quickly above 10,000 rpm, and the motor goes ballistic above 12,000 rpm.
