Intro

The Yamaha FZ6 made its debut in 2004 and was launched in the sport bike genre offering the rider the best that a sport bike and commuter bike had to offer. All the new additions and enhancements made the 2010 Yamaha FZ an incredibly attractive and appealing high-end bike. This standard style motor cycle is also called FZ1. The bike was inspired and built around the 2003 YZF-R6 engine. The 2010 Yamaha FZ is powered with amazing features and stylish chassis designs. Promising the rider unbelievable handling and performance, it is no surprise that the 2010 Yamaha FZ1 has been named one of the top bikes from 2010.

Nicknamed “street brawler” by Yamaha, the FZ1 features a 998cc, liquid-cooled, horizontal in-line, DOHC, four-stroke engine and a six-speed manual transmission. The FZ1 has front dual hydraulic disc brakes and rear hydraulic disc brakes. Fuel injection with computer-controlled sub-throttle valves ensures the correct fuel/air mixture for optimum power delivery across the entire rev range. The bike has narrow-angle five-valve combustion chambers that help produce an impressive 11.5:1 compression ratio. The high silicon-content ceramic-composite cylinder lining minimizes friction and boosts heat dissipation for reliable power delivery. With carburized connecting rods with fracture split big ends the bike offers a quick-revving engine with exceptional high-rpm durability. The FZ1 comes equipped with a four-into two-into-one short-style exhaust system with exhaust ultimate power. The rider can enjoy power throughout the FZ1’s extensive rpm range while following all emission requirements.

The 2010 Yamaha FZ1’s cast aluminum frame uses the engine as a stressed member which provides optimal rigidity and terrific handling. The FZ1 enjoys vertical stiffness and handling thanks to the stressed-engine designs which holds the engine in place with six mounts.

The 2010 Yamaha FZ1 is available in candy red and raven. It offers a fuel capacity of 4.76 gallons and a fuel economy of 35 mpg.
