2009 QLINK Legend Review

Intro

The QLINK Legend 250 is made in China by Huanan Motors for QLINK, a Texas importer. Huanan also makes the same model for other importers, so the only difference between these bikes is the name the importer attaches to it. Look for a Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) that begins with LE8, as this identifies the motorcycle as a QLINK import. The digital instrumentation panel includes a fuel warning gauge, shift light, speedometer, and odometer. The Legend 250 comes in two colors, red and black, with an electric starter. The two-piece seat, for rider and passenger, is made from leather; the passenger seat has a fixed backrest. Because the Legend 250 is a cruiser, it does not have any rear or under-seat storage. These items are not offered by the manufacturer, though owners may be able to find after-market accessories that fill this need. This classic-style motorcycle would make a good entry-level bike.

Though no official mileage estimates are available, some riders report fuel economy of up to 70 mpg. Riders report the Legend 250 is great for cruising around town. Some riders say they struggle to get it up to 50 mph on highways, while others report hitting 60 mph without any problems, even going uphill. Like any motorcycle, it has both detractors, who report nothing but problems, and true fans who claim the Legend 250 has been a very dependable motorcycle for them.
