2010 Kymco Quannon Review

Taiwan manufacturer Kwang Yang Motor Co. (Kymco) introduced the Quannon, as an entry-level sports bike in 2010. The Quannon is good for beginners as well as cautious riders who don’t need to race down the freeway at speeds of 100 mph or more. The Quannon 150’s racy look can be misleading, as it is not a super-fast motorcycle. In fact, Quannon riders will want to avoid freeways as it’s a push to hit 60 mph in redline fifth gear. Riders who ignore the tachometer’s red line might get it to 75 mph, but this is hard on the bike. The Quannon would make a good motorcycle for city commuters. A low seat height of 31.5 inches makes the Quannon easy to mount. Because it is a single cylinder, it is not as wide as motorcycles with more cylinders, giving it a slender feel. At 299 pounds, the bike is light and easy to maneuver. The Quannon is a bit small for tall riders, but some said it is less cramped than a 150 cc motor scooter.

Riders give the Quannon good marks for its frame and suspension that, while appearing flimsy, offer a solid ride. Riders report the 17-inch steel wheels give it a regular motorcycle feel. The Quannon has an analog tachometer with digital speedometer, clock, fuel gauge, and odometer. Available in red and blue, the Quannon is a fuel-efficient motorcycle that will get upwards of 70 mpg or more. This makes commuting to work inexpensive for riders. Riders say the Quannon is easy to maneuver in traffic and corners. The Quannon is no longer available in newer models in the United States.
