2011 Husqvarna TXC Review

Intro

Available in three models with various levels of power from their individual motors, the 2011 Husqvarna TXC is a sporty motorcycle that is meant for offroading, including hill climbing and dirt tracks. A solid performer in any model, these bikes include excellent traction and responsive handling as might be expected from an offroad motorcycle. The TXC i250 features a 249.5-cc, single-cylinder motor. The 449 is equipped with a bigger 449.6-cc engine, and the 511 is powered by a 477.5-cc motor. Lean and aggressive in appearance, the sporty design of the TXC bikes pay homage to its athletic performance on the track.

The TXC is built around the motor BMW designed for itself when attempting to build an offroad motorcycle. Although engineered in Germany, this motor is built by Kymco in Taiwan. The bike starts easily, packs plenty of power, and offers some outstanding traction that is necessary for offroad riding. Its six-speed transmission shifts smoothly. It features a modern design with classic elements with an overall aggressive appearance that matches its sporty performance. Due to its EFI and lighter body weight, the TXC’s motor is far more responsive than a traditional endure bike. Its high quality chassis offers great support and stability. When it comes to climbing hills, the TXC takes them with relative ease. One drawback is its two-chamber fuel tank can take a little longer to fill, something which is probably only a concern to those using the bike for racing.

A quality-made dirt bike that is truly meant as an offroad motorcycle, the 2011 Husqvarna TXC packs all the performance and power buyers are looking for, as well as the latest design innovations that make it more competitive in the market. Offering three models with varying amounts of power, the TXC can be an ideal purchase for the novice, hobbyist, or serious racing enthusiast.
