2013 Husqvarna TC Review

The 2013 Husqvarna TC has been overhauled since its last annual release. Husqvarna has made changes and modifications to nearly every part of the bike to give the rider the best possible experience. To begin, the motor features a new finger-following head design which makes it much more streamlined and dependable compared to its traditional design. The radiators were enlarged for more efficient cooling of the engine and the fuel injection system was updated to a Keihin Electronic system. Despite these impressive improvements, the bike is not very fast. The power delivery to the wheel is a bit weak but if the rider keeps the throttle revved up, the bike can achieve a descent top speed. When the bike feels like it is ready to shift, the rider can hold down the throttle a bit longer and the bike will continue to produce power. This can be very useful for jumps and maneuvering around corners.

The suspension was also improved with the addition of Kayaba components in the front and rear rather than sticking with the traditional Sachs shocks and WP forks. The new suspension makes it much easier to set the bike up for any level of rider, and furthermore is easier to find a suspension shop to dial it in and re-valve. The suspension is a more soft set up however the bike does turn remarkable well. The turning capabilities of the TC is considered one of the more desired systems on current 250cc four-strokes. Other impressive parts on the bike are over-sized bars, a titanium Akrapovic exhaust system, Brembo brakes, Regina chain and sprockets, and a hydraulic clutch.

This bike is built for the weekend warrior rider more than it is for the advanced intermediate. This is a reliable bike with well-equipped parts for the rider looking for a quality weekend bike.
