2012 Brammo Enertia Review

Intro

The 2012 Brammo Enertia was built to not only save money on gas and decrease greenhouse gas emissions but it was designed to have an aggressive style and intimidating profile for both new and experienced riders. This bike is sure to become a popular ride due to some of the most ground breaking features to hit the motorcycle market in years. The bike produces a quiet sound, zero-emission ride that will be enjoyed by anyone who hops on and takes it for a spin.

The 2012 Brammo Enertia uses a whirring 72-volt, brushless DC motor and a 428 gauge DID chain. The only thing you will hear while riding this bike is the wind because all components work in sync with the electric motor to produce an incredibly quiet ride. The fully electric permanent magnet AC engine powers the bike with a generous 13kW at 4500rpm that gives the rider both power and distance riding capabilities, which don’t always go hand in hand with electric motorcycles. Brammo’s Enertia is promising to become an environmentally friendly bike, producing zero emissions while feeling and looking like a real motorcycle, something most people want to be riding throughout the day. The electricity it uses produces a fraction of the greenhouse gases that would normally come from a carbureted engine, helping you do your part to keep this planet healthy.

There is not clutch system meaning you don’t have to worry about shifting while riding. The direct drive system is a one-speed transmission producing and extremely smooth ride. The front suspension is a Marzocchi inverted fork while the rear uses Elka shock absorbers, both fully adjustable and giving a five inches of travel for each. The suspension is incredibly smooth, directly less stress to your back and shoulders while riding long distances or on rough roads. The whole bike is stopped by powerful Brembo brakes at both ends.

This is a powerful motorcycle for those looking for something with a bit more aggressive attitude in an electric bike while still leaving a smaller carbon foot print.
