2013 Yamaha YZF R6

Intro

The Yamaha YZF is a powerful line of sport bikes that were first introduced by Yamaha Motor Company back in the late 1990s. There have been three version of the popular Yamaha YZF: the Yamaha YZF R125, the Yamaha YZF R6, and the Yamaha YZF R1. The YZF-R125 has been discontinued and for 2013, Yamaha has released only two models: the Yamaha YZF-R1 and the Yamaha YZF-R6.

Known among aficionados simply as the R1, the 2013 Yamaha YZF-R1 is a massive 998cc superbike that makes use of MotoGP technology and a seven-level Traction Control System that’s been designed to boost traction while preventing riders from feeling any unnatUral or harsh intervention. The bike is replete with technology, making it one of the most advanced Open Class sport bikes on the market. It’s also the first production motorcycle ever introduced with a crossplane crankshaft. The overall result is incredibly smooth power delivery and a substantial amount of torque that provides for a thrilling ride. This ride is balanced by the R1’s traction control system, which can also help prevent tire wear by decreasing wheel spin. Riders may choose from 21 different configurations to tailor the R1 to their riding style, thanks to the three-level D-Mode electronic throttle response control. The MotoGP technology helps facilitate nearly instantaneous throttle response. The R1 also delivers crisp cornering and handling ability. It boasts an aluminum frame that’s been designed with exceptional rigidity balance in mind. The rear frame is cast from lightweight Controlled-fill die-cast magnesium that helps contribute to the bike’s overall optimum mass centralization. The massively powerful R1 with its 998cc and 182-hp engine is an ideal bike for demanding riders who enjoy powerful sport bikes.

The 2013 Yamaha YZF-R6 is a lighter but still powerful bike that’s reaped the benefits of years of experience on the racing circuit. The R6 has been called the most advanced production 600cc that Yamaha, or anyone else for that matter, has ever produced. It’s definitely a capable performer that’s well-suited to taking hair-raising turns with relative ease. The R6 was the first production model to ever feature YCC-T, Yamaha Chip Controlled Throttle system. The system was designed to facilitate a flawless response under any circumstances. The light and powerful bike features many cutting edge innovations as well as a chassis that is taut and maneuverable allowing riders to go from being fully upright into severe corner leans almost instantly. The bike is set apart from its competitors by twin-injector fuel system, Yamaha Chip Controlled Intake, GP-style titanium muffler and other advanced modern features. The 2013 R6 features the same kind of agility and strength that has made the R6 one of the preferred model bikes for sport riders who like technology.
