2013 Harley-Davidson Road King CVO

The 2013 Harley-Davidson Road King yet again lives up to its name with its beefy engine, smooth six-speed transmission, large bucket seats and unforgettable growl when you twist that throttle. The 2013 Road King comes with an air-cooled Twin Cam 103, 1690cc engine that is nothing short of king. It gives the rider nearly 100 lb-ft of torque at 3500 revolutions per minute (rpm) and 100 horsepower. This engine is supplied with fuel by an Electronic Sequential Port Fuel Injection ESPFI system that sprays the exact amount of fuel to each cylinder, no matter what speed and rpm. The six-speed cruise drive transmission gives smooth shifting and decreases the engine speed.

The 1.63 inch telescopic fork and the pre-loaded adjustable rear gives cushion from any uneven road you may ride on. The rear is air-adjustable with removal of the saddlebag to accommodate various weight fluctuations. The seat is a mere 26.5 inches from the ground so combining this low center of gravity and a very flexible suspension, the Road King becomes very maneuverable.

The Road King comes equipped with four-piston Brembo calipers and 11.5 inch dual hydraulic discs, giving you all the braking power needed for this large touring bike. The 2-1-2 exhaust system directs heat away from the rider and passenger’s legs while improving horsepower and increasing fuel efficiency, yet still keeping Harley-Davidson’s signature growl.

The long floorboards and wide set handlebars give a classic Harley look while yielding maximum comfort. The seat is a deep bucket with a narrow neck which is a classic touring style because it helps relieve pressure from the thighs and back and puts your feet closer to the floor boards. These features combine to keep you comfortably propped up in a position of command while keeping neck, back and shoulder muscles calm and relaxed no matter how long the ride.

The Road King also has some exterior features that make a long distance trip seem not as long as before. The bike comes equipped with large, hard locking saddlebags that have enough room for a few days’ supplies for a person riding alone. The new low-profile console has a signature programmable back lighting and an analog speedometer and tachometer on top of this tank-mounted console.
