The 2013 Harley-Davidson Road Glide is a touring bike that has all the power, comfort and looks that make the touring bike so popular. The air-cooled Twin Cam 103, 1690cc engine with integrated oil cooling, Six-Speed Cruise Drive transmission, air-adjustable suspension and braking power only Brembo brakes can deliver, makes the Road Glide a very impressive touring bike. The Twin Cam 103 engine pumps out nearly 100 horsepower and 100 lb-ft of torque at 3500 revolutions per minute (rpm). The hardy engine has the perfect balance of shake, rattle and ride with the four point engine isolation system. The engine is mounted at four points on rubber mounts to subdue excessive engine vibration. The bike’s Electronic Sequential Port Fuel Injection (ESPFI) system always delivers the correct amount of fuel no matter how fast you are going or what rpm you might be at. The Six-Speed Cruise Drive transmission is smooth shifting, quiet and delivers all the engine’s power to the wheel.
The Road Glide is equipped with four-piston Brembo calipers and 11.5 inch dual hydraulic discs on both the front and rear wheel. This hydraulic Brembo braking system has all the braking power you could need to stop bike with its 840 pounds of bulk and 1690cc V-Twin engine. The exhaust system is a 2-1-2 design which is shown to improve heat displacement away from the rider and passenger’s legs while increasing horsepower, unrestricting exhaust flow and keeping Harley-Davidson’s signature rumble.
To make the ride more comfortable for the rider, the Road Glide has upgraded performance technology and the exterior with impressive results. Long floorboards, wide set handlebars and a deep seat bucket with a narrow neck keeps the classic Harley look but work in sync to yield maximum comfort. The handlebars keep your arms at the perfect height, while the seat relieves back and thigh pressure from long rides. The full length floor boards are placed in an optimal position that when combined with the seat and handlebars, give you the most comfortable rider possible while maintaining complete command.
The 2013 Road Glide has all the horsepower and torque, comfort and style that a rider could want and need in a touring bike.
