2013 BMW F

2013 BMW F 700 GS

Intro

The 2013 BMW F series of bikes is made up of four different models that are all powered by the same 798cc parallel twin engine. The series lineup includes the F 700 GS (newly named for the 2013 model year), F 800 GS, F 800 GT (successor to the 2012 F 800 ST), and F 800 R. Although the 2013 BMW F Series contains four bikes, they are not all of the same class. The F 700 GS and F 800 GS are enduro bikes, while the F 800 R is a roadster and the F 800 GT is a touring bike.

Within the 2013 BMW F series of bikes, the F 700 GS is suitable for all riders from beginners to more advanced. Tweaks to the engine mean that it has improved power output, and shortening the gear transmission ratio has lead to even better handling. Anti-lock brakes are now included as standard, and electronic suspension adjustment and traction control are options, making the ride that much safer for all riders. A low seat height and lightweight body make it accessible to almost everyone.

The F 800 GS is the sportiest model of the 2013 BMW F series lineup. It is a versatile bike that performs both on and off road. New design cues have reflect the off-road nature of the bike, including new fuel tank trim, windshield, upper mudguard, and intake snorkel. The bike can now also be lowered making a seat height of a mere 32.3 inches possible. Only three color options are available for this sport bike.

The 2013 BMW F 800 R has been created to provide the right combination of maneuverability for day-to-day city riding as well as performance for on the highway. This naked bike is equipped with an engine that produces 87 horsepower and 63 lb-ft of torque, and sounds the part. The engine is mounted on an aluminum frame that is strong and light, so that it has a perfect balance and provides optimal agility to the rider.

The goal of the 2013 BMW F 800 GT is to provide the ultimate in performance, whether winding through the city streets, or whiling away the hours on the open road. A high level of stability is ensured by the longer rear-wheel swing arm and the tighter suspension. There are three different seat heights to choose from so the right ergonomics can be set for each rider. The engine provides up to 90 horsepower meaning that the everyday can quickly be left behind.
