2012 Triumph Street

The 2012 Triumph Street Triple is a sport bike that successfully combines the look and feel of a big 1050cc while maintaining the size of their Daytona 675 model, yielding a bike that is more capable of speeds and maneuvers that other bikes can’t come close to. The bike is equipped with a hardy 675cc, dual overhead camshaft (DOHC), three-cylinder engine offering nearly 108 horsepower and 69 lb-ft of torque. Weighing a mere 416 pounds makes this engine feel like it is sending more power to the wheel. The transmission is a six-gear box that uses close ratio gears to let the bike jump of the line quicker while maintaining a quality top speed. This, in addition to the liquid-cooled engine and minimal overall weight, makes the bike feel much more powerful than your average 675cc sport bike.

The suspension is comprised of signature Kayaba components, specifically an upside down front fork with 4.72 inches of travel and a twin sided swing arm with one adjustable shock absorber an 4.96 inches of travel in the rear. The premium Kayaba suspension gives this bike the response and handling of a circuit racing bike. The bike’s braking system is comprised of Nissin calipers and twin 12.1 inch hydraulic discs in the front and one 8.7inch hydraulic disc in the rear. These brakes have a tremendous amount of braking force so the 416 pounds of weight don’t require much, leaving a remainder amount of braking capabilities for sudden stops.

The 2012 Triumph Street Triple meets all the necessary requirements to ride city streets but it also has all the characteristics and specs to match circuit racing bikes.
