2012 Harley-Davidson Trike

2012 Harley-Davidson Trike Tri Glide Ultra Classic

Harley-Davidson has hit three wheels with the 2012 Trike Tri Glide Ultra Classic. Just because the changed how many wheels it runs on doesn’t mean it changed its game. They attacked this machine with the same care of luxurious comfort, state of the art technology, and smooth design that they do all Harley-Davidson products. As with all Harley-Davidson products this trike is powered by the same technology. A 1687.9 cc, four-stroke, overhead valve (OHV), V Twin engine is the guts and backbone of this three-wheeled monster. The electric sequential port fuel injection (ESPFI) and low torque have been married to give the 2012 Trike Tri Glide Ultra Classic amazing power whether you are riding alone or with a passenger on either the open road, while passing, or climbing hills.

This sweet ride is Air-cooled and has an electric ignition. It is a six-speed with a manual clutch that has cruise control. The heel toe shifter is a comfortable fit along with a full rubber foot board. Reverse is also a feature of the 2012 Trike Tri Glide Ultra and has LED indicators. In 2009, Harley-Davidson added a fourth point to securing the engine. Using this technology along with the rubber mounts and lighter weighted pistons they have engineered a machine that has tons of moving power and controlled engine rattle. Don’t mistake controlled engine rattle with that signature Harley rumble. There is still plenty of that.

A trike is known to be a lot of fun but not very comfortable. When Harley-Davidson wanted to do a trike it knew that this would have to be a machine that they can put their name on and that can be that fun trike yet Scream Harley-Davidson. So that is what they did. They put so much time in effort into the comfort of this ride starting with the suspension. If you have ever driven a trike you know the maneuverability on one is not very smooth. An extra-long telescopic fork with air adjustable rebound damping leading the way to the comfortable steering. Trailing from behind is the dual aluminum independent shock absorbers with adjustable rebound damping, adjustable spring pre-load, and steering damper. All of these amenities have been added for not only driver but so it can handle the extra weight of luggage or a buddy. The trunk is waterproof, fully lined, and has a luggage capacity of 6.7 cubic feet (cu ft) and 80 pounds (lbs) of luggage weight. Finally, time to talk about sitting in that seat! The comfortable leather step-up driver passenger seat has a backrest for your passenger. This big boy has a four speaker AM/FM. But that is not all. It also has a CB radio and intercom system. There is a high powered charging system to meet any of your needs. There is a glove compartment so you can empty those pockets and the handlebars have been precision mounted to reduce any shoulder discomfort.

This one of a kind Harley-Davidson needs to be ridden. So get out there and get on the 2012 Harley-Davidson Trike Tri Glide Ultra Classic.
