2012 Beta Evo Trial

2012 Beta Evo Trial Mini Trial

Intro

The 2012 BETA Evo Trial Mini Trial is a great entry level bike for a child that weighs in less than 50 pounds or so. This off road bike has more than enough power for a young kid just learning how to ride. The Evo Trial Mini Trial has the general look and design of a motor cross motorcycle but it isn’t exactly that type of bike. It is moto trial bike so it has the engine and chassis design to help teach your kid balance, machine control and most importantly, the ability to read the terrain in front of him or her and how to master those skills.

It is unlikely that they will be traversing rocky creeks, rock boulders, fallen logs, banks, hills or tree roots however this bike has the capability to do so if needed. It comes with a very powerful (for its size) two-stroke, single cylinder 50cc engine. Since it is a moto trial bike, its engine performs very well in the highs and lows of the engines ranges. The wet, automatic (three-shoe clutch) does a great job at ensures erratic speed does not cause any slipping of the plates which is helpful for a beginner learning to ride. The six-speed automatic transmission also is very efficient at delivering all the horsepower and torque the engine can provide to the wheel without the need to be in a high rpm range.

Since it is a moto bike, the transmission is well suited to deliver loads of torque, especially at idle engine speeds. The suspension is also very forgiving, absorbing many of the ruts and holes that can be encountered while riding off-road. This is especially important for someone learning how to ride and master the skills needed for off-road and rugged terrain riding. The telescopic fork with 5.2 inches of travel and rear twin sided swing arm with 4.5 inches of travel help lessen the shock of extreme off-road riding so your kid can learn the skills riding. The braking system is a quality set up with more than enough braking power for a young beginner. The front wheel has a hydraulic caliper with a 6.3 inch disc and the rear has a mechanical caliper with a 5.9 inch disc. It provides all the braking power needed for entry level riding.

Overall, this is a great moto trial bike for a young child just learning to ride. It gives all the horsepower, torque and a versatile suspension to help a kid learn the basics of riding.
