2011 Schwinn Laguna

2011 Schwinn Laguna 50

Intro

The Scwinn Laguna is a motorcycle styled scooter that starts at the price of $1749. A four-stroke, 49.5-cc, air-cooled, SOHC, single-cylinder engine is responsible for giving this scooter its power. The scoot is an electric start, but it also does come equipped with a kick starter, in case something were to happen with the electric start system or if the rider prefers kick starting over electric starting. The engine is coupled to a CVT transmission and also has a fuel tank that is capable of holding up to 1.1 gallons of regular fuel. That way, the owner of the scooter will be able to save money at the pumps by putting in regular fuel, versus the more expensive premium grade fuel. A single tank of gas in the scooter will be able to power it for up to 100 miles, so it’s the perfect choice for a person that runs errands or goes to school.

The front suspension on the Schwinn Laguna is a Telescopic Fork, while the rear suspension is a Single Sided Swing Arm. Stopping on the Schwinn Laguna is absolutely no problem, because it comes equipped with hydraulic disc brakes on the front end and drum brakes on the rear end. Therefore, stopping should not be an issue for the driver, ensuring a safe and comfortable riding experience. There is only one seat on the Schwinn Laguna, so transporting passengers will not be an option. Consumers are suggested to look for a bigger option if they are looking to have more than one rider on a scooter. The Schwinn Laguna does not have the room, nor does it have the power for more than one occupant.

Schwinn is most commonly known for being the world’s most recognized bicycle manufacturer. That being said, the company is starting to branch out and try their hand at other ventures. One of those ventures is the manufacturing of motor scooters. As of right now, Schwinn does not offer many models when it comes to motor scooters and most of them are air-cooled, 49.5-cc, four stroke engines that are coupled with CVT transmissions. Schwinn offers practicality over power, so they do not have many more powerful options. For the time being, Schwinn does not have many dealerships open for consumers to come in and purchase these scooters. Schwinn motor scooters may be found in larger cities, but for most people looking for the Schwinn Laguna, they will have to purchase the scooter online and have it shipped to their home.
