2011 Husaberg FE 570

Intro

The 2011 Husaberg FE line of machines remains mostly unchanged for this year, but there were some new additions in the United States from the Swedish bike manufacturer. These additions include the FE 390 and FE 450. Both are four-stroke offroad bikes, and like other FE models they are fun to drive. The biggest change this year is the addition of new suspension fork. Both the new machines got the closed cartridge fork from WP that was initially designed for the FX closed-course racer model alone. This fork is similar to that used in the KTM XC line, but it has been valved specifically to suit the Swedish bikes. Another change is the new triple clamp for the bikes, which have been increased by a small margin. This change, when combined with the new fork tubes and the stiffer suspension rates, shows that the 2011 Husaberg FE has been designed for better handling and more aggressive riding. Of course, the changes made this year are not just additions, but also removals. The FE 570 model is absent from the lineup, but the bike will be available as the 570 SE, which has been modified as a dual sport bike and the FD 570, which is a streel legal supermoto model complete with 17-inch wheels.

Overall, the new 2011 Husaberg FE bikes turn out to be great in technical and sandy conditions. The updated front end is more capable than ever before in tacking tough and technical sections in a race course, and this holds true for adults of different sizes and riding abilities. The bike stays cool, well-behaved, and comfortable even while going through tough and natUrally unstable terrain thanks to its superior handling abilities. Of course, these abilities are in no small way due to the inverted 70-degree motor used in the 2011 Husaberg FE. The largest amount of matter is located right at the true center of gravity, which helps in allowing it to change directions immediately without losing weight or too much energy in the process.

Despite the positives, there are some things that are traded off for the amazing handling abilities of the 2011 Husaberg FE. For one, raising the crank to a higher position in the frame improves handling but also makes the bike more top-heavy than other similar competing bikes. This is an important factor, especially when going through tight turns over technical terrain. Moreover, the 2011 Husaberg FE is also less forgiving than other competing bikes when the rider finds himself slightly out of balance. When trying to upright the bike or get unstuck, it becomes increasingly evident how bothersome and inconvenient it is to place the center of gravity where most mass is concentrated. Nevertheless, these flaws manifest themselves only in limited situation. For most cases, the 2011 Husaberg FE models are very capable of getting through tough terrain. The adjustable ignition maps allow the rider to choose exactly how much power and snap should be received when cracking the throttle. The fuel injection and powerful electric starter make the bike easier to ride in a wide weather range.
