2010 Triumph Speed Triple

Intro

The Triumph Speed has many monikers to its credit. It is referred to as a ""great weekend bike"" and a ""real hooligan’s machine."" The 2010 Triumph Speed motorcycles made by the Hinckley-based British company have constantly reinvented these motorcycles and they have brought out some unique models. The Speed Triple is its first naked urban sports model and is definitely a benchmark for the industry.

The Triumph Speed’s features include a 1050cc, Horizontal, 128-bhp, fuel injected engine with a six-speed transmission. It has dual hydraulic disc brakes that really help the motorcycle stop on demand. On the road, the three-cylinder engine is a great performer with 76 lb-ft of torque delivered at 7550rpm. The engine is distinctly docked well in between the aluminum frame and tubular bars. It has a real low-end torque which helps maintain speed in mid-range as well as in the top end.

It gives good mileage all thanks to the good electronic fuel injection system with adaptable 43mm upside down forks. One of its superlative features is the all-around chassis. The Triumph Speed’s very effectual stopping capacity, in spite of its 477-pound wet weight, is contributed by the twin Brembo radial four pistons, four pad front caliper radial master cylinder. On the whole, the Triumph Speed’s compact look and feel coupled with the build around the rider definitely leaves an impression.

Visually, at first glance, the exterior of the 2010 Triumph Speed is just perfect for the rider. The design and placement of the instrument panel above the two streetfighter headlights is one of its unique highlights and this renders the motorcycle its one-of-a-kind look. The positioning of the gas tank within the tubular aluminum frame area with the rear end neatly composed by the 32.7 inches high seat gives it a neat shape. This look contributes to the bodywork while adding to the good comfort.

The Triumph 2010 model range has also released a limited edition Speed Triple model to commemorate the 15 years since the Hinckley-based British automotive company introduced the ""Streetfighter"" style to the market, along with the original Speed Triple which dates back to the mid-1990s. This limited edition series is technically almost similar to its older standard version that was already in the market. This edition sports a Phantom Black metallic paint, with hand-finished red pinstriped wheels and ""15th Anniversary Special Edition"" decals on the flyscreen and tail. But one of its standalone features would be its refined engineering and exceptional looks.
