Long front, low back end, this wasp-look chopper gives you most everything you'd want in a chopper. The 108 inch Saxon Griffin has an 81.5 wheelbase, with a 6"" downtube and a 2"" backbone. The stock 96 cubic inch natUral S&S engine is all you'd need, and Saxon still offers you more; engine options for this chopper are an S&S 100 ci fuel injected, California engine and an S&S 111 ci Engine. Any of the S&S engines stand alone on their own merits. There's a reason it’s almost always the custom bike builder's choice (note there are a lot of other choices out there). Make your choice and then pick from the ""engine-color"" options of natUral, polished or black packages. As always with the Saxon line, the instrumentation is basic: digital speedometer with trip reset and integrated tachometer. The ignition is a simple electric start, no kick.
The transmission is a Baker 6 speed, with a right hand primary chain, final belt drive combo. Its rear suspension is a twin-sided swing arm with hidden progressive shocks set upon your choice of 18 inch wheels with a nice, fat 300/35 tire. The front suspension is a 41 mm telescoping wide fork type, resting on the 90/90 21R tires and matching wheels.
Sitting low at 25.5 inches, this bike arrives stock, with a very comfortable black leather solo seat. If you must destroy the great lines of this bike with a passenger seat, there are a couple options available to you. The offered up pillion pad is the easiest to remove and replace, or you can go with the more permanent two-up leather seat. Keep in mind a two-up seat does absolutely nothing to add to the already perfect looks of this bike.
