2010 Saxon Motorcycle Crown Base

Intro

Manufactured in the USA, the Saxon Crown takes the rider right back to WWll, with its modified Harley war-years look. This bike cries out for a simple olive green paint job, but as always, Saxon gives the buyer a huge range of paint and wheel options. Arriving out of the crate with a 96ci S&S engine in black, the other options of the S&S California 100 c.i. or the S&S 111 c.i. Engine are great, as long as you want the fairly reliable S&S power plant. Fueled by SS Super E carb, this engine, as always, dishes out the performance.

From old-school to modern, they've merged the two styles nicely, with digital instrumentation (even though its kept retro, with only a tach and speedo, which includes a trip reset) to a 6 speed Baker trans, paired with a left hand chain primary and final drive.

At 98 inches long and 625 pounds, the bike handles nicely, with its swing arm rear suspension and Progressive shocks. The spring style leather solo seat adds a nice cushion to the already sweet ride. And thankfully, the manufacturer doesn't offer their usual two-up options on this bike. The rear 200/18 tire is covered by its distinctive crown logoed, bobbed rear fender. The Springer front end and the wide low handlebars top a 21 inch wheel, without a front fender, but you're sitting far enough back to not get hit with too much road splash.

. The long and sleek 3.3 gallon tank is a little less fuel than you might prefer for your journeys, since as you can imagine, the S&S performance engines aren't known for their fuel economy. However, your short hops between fill-ups are at least comfortable and you look cool while doing it. Everything about this bike will make the old school style rider want to take it on for its shear good looks.
