2010 Moto Guzzi Griso

2010 Moto Guzzi Griso 1200 8V

Intro

Alessandro Manzoni created the character of Griso, a tough, daring, and fearless leader, when he wrote Italy’s first historical novel, ""I promessi sposi"" (""The Betrothed""), in 1827. It was a name adopted by Moto Guzzi when, almost 200 years later, it introduced the Griso in 2006. The SYMbolism of the name fits this motorcycle very well. This super sports bike is bold, masculine, fast and non-conforming, with these attributes winning praise from riders. The 2010 Moto Guzzi Griso 8V SE wins even higher praise from riders who agree with Moto Guzzi the Griso is ""the most exciting and spirited"" of all Moto Guzzis; the Italian manufacturer designed the SE especially for the most demanding of enthusiasts.

The Griso SE or special edition is available in two colors: a satinized Tenni green that comes with a brown leather seat or a Rosso Mandello red that comes with a black seat; the standard model comes in black or gray with a black vinyl seat. The frame is made of high tensile strength tubular steel. A chassis that has a low center of gravity makes the Griso more nimble, allowing riders to react to changing situations quickly. The exhaust system, made from stainless steel, features a three-way catalyzer and Lambda probe oxygen sensor. Moto Guzzi continues with the ""Quattrovalvole"" engine, first introduced in 2006, that is considered to be Moto Guzzi’s most powerful production engine. It can go from 0 to 62 mph in under four seconds and from a standing 0 to 125 mph in just over 14 seconds. The Griso has a top speed of approximately 130 mph.

The 2010 Griso features subtle style changes such as a new sports style saddle and streamlined bodywork. New handlebars are made from black anodized aluminum. Keeping in line with its speed, the Griso features racing footpegs. The six-speed gears shift quietly; riders report finding neutral easier because of a silent single clutch plate.
