2010 Kawasaki Vulcan 2000 Classic LT

The Kawasaki Vulcan 2000 line-up might best be described as muscle motorcycles for a couple of reasons. One is that the powerful 2053 cc engine gives it lots of muscle on the highway. Secondly, it takes a lot of muscle to move this bike. At a dry weight of 796 pounds, which grows to 884 pounds by the time gasoline, other fluids, and accessories are added in, this definitely is not a motorcycle for a 90-pound weakling. This is a motorcycle for experienced riders only. The Vulcan 2000 Classic LT, which is the luxury model, has the biggest bore and stroke of any large displacement touring motorcycle. The LT’s 200/60R rear tire also is the largest stock tire on any production V-twin touring motorcycle. Kawasaki has been making Vulcan motorcycles in various engine displacements since 1984. The Classic LT was introduced to U.S. markets in 2008. The 2010 model year also includes the Vulcan 2000, which is the basic model, and the Classic.

The V-twin engine delivers lots of power in all three models, providing a smooth ride at cruising speeds. The motorcycle’s size, however, makes it tricky to move at slow speeds, such as in parking lots, without dropping it, but this is a characteristic of all big bikes. The Classic has more engine chrome than the Vulcan 2000; it also has a bucket seat. Luxury shines through on the 2010 Classic LT, which carries saddlebags made from top grain cowhide leather with leather straps and chrome buckles. A custom touring saddle offers comfortable seating for the driver, while a backrest adds to passenger comfort. Kawasaki describes the acrylic windshield as ""wind-cheating."" Colors for the 2010 models are black and blue.
