2009 Kawasaki Vulcan 900 Classic LT

Intro

The 2009 Kawasaki Vulcan 900 is a midsize bike that has the feel of a big cruiser. Because of its smaller-than-it-looks size, the Vulcan 900 is comfortable, roomy, maneuverable at low speeds, and stable at high speeds. The Vulcan is powered by a smooth and torquey 903cc, V-twin engine that provides ample power without making the bike difficult to control. This makes the 2009 Kawasaki Vulcan 900 a great bike for less experienced riders as well as those with some miles behind them. At just 28.6 inches, the Vulcan 900’s seat height is on the low side. This makes it easier to stay in touch with the ground, while folding footboards offer plenty of room for a rider’s feet and further increase the Vulcan’s comfort factor. A nimbly handling cruiser with plenty of power, the 2009 Kawasaki Vulcan 900 is available with a number of attractive extras. While experienced riders may find the Vulcan 900’s stability a little slow-paced, the bike is simply ideal for beginner riders or riders who may just be getting back into motorcycles after taking some time off. Practical and efficient as well as stylish and powerful, the 2009 Kawasaki Vulcan 900 makes a great commuter bike. With its relaxed seating position and ample leg room the Vulcan also makes a great bike for longer trips. With an EPA estimated fuel economy of 45 mpg the Vulcan is economical to operate and available in three colors: Metallic Diablo Black, Candy Plasma Blue, and Candy Diamond Red. A practical but stylish cruiser, the 2009 Kawasaki Vulcan 900 delivers a comfortable big bike experience that’s practical as well as stylish and fun. The bike’s fuel-injected 903cc engine provides great roll-on acceleration and the Vulcan is constructed on a nimble chassis that screams classic cruiser. With ergonomics that arguably lead its class, the 2009 Kawasaki Vulcan 900 also features nice bodywork that includes gracefully lined fenders and a fuel tank accentuated with a polished chrome-accented air cleaner. The modern flair in the Vulcan’s bodywork is balanced by the matte black frame, low-slung seat, and LED taillight. Curved engine fins on the bike’s big V-twin further enhance its classic cruiser look. There is also a Vulcan 900 Classic LT version that comes accessorized with saddlebags, a passenger seatback, windscreen, and other long distance touring extras.

The 2009 Kawasaki Vulcan 900 Custom is another model in the line that’s closely based on the Vulcan 900 Classic. There are a few key distinctions that set the Vulcan apart from the Classic, the first being the bike’s straight bars, gunfighter style seat, and the 21 inch front cast wheel. The Custom has essentially the same specs as the Classic. The key differences are the tires, which are sized to fit the Custom’s over pronounced big front wheel and understated rear wheel. The Vulcan 900 Custom is also slightly lighter in weight than the classic. Like the 2009 Kawasaki Vulcan Classic, the 900 Custom is a great bike for beginners or those who are reentering the world of riding. It’s got custom boulevard cruiser styling that sets it apart from other bikes in its class. Like the Vulcan 900 Classic, the Custom is comfortable to ride and capable of handling city streets and highway speeds with ease. The 2009 Vulcan 900 Custom is also available in a ""Special Edition"" model that includes a special black out treatment on the pipes, air cleaner and engine cases, along with aggressive looking orange valve covers. The Vulcan 900 Custom SE also includes a Special Edition flat black and tribal orange color scheme that further sets it apart visually. If you’re a beginning rider looking for a bike you can not only learn on, but grow into, you should certainly check out the 2009 Kawasaki Vulcan 900.
