The 2008 QLINK Splendor 400 is not the typical lightweight, small-wheeled, and sluggish bike that comes to mind when you hear scooter. It is a big and sturdy touring scooter or sometimes called a maxi scooter. It is built for those seeking a scooter that has the typical money saving fuel efficiency while still having the speed and power to cruise the highways. Also, when you are riding a maxi scooter, you do not have to worry about a clutch, like you do on motorcycles. Maxi scooters might offer engines with less displacement than your traditional motorcycle but the 2008 QLINK Splendor 400 does not show that.
The Splendor 400 uses a single-cylinder, four-stroke, 400cc engine with liquid cooling that turns out nearly 27 horsepower and 28 lb-ft of torque. This engine is bigger than your typical scooter engine, in part because it is a touring scooter. However, the engine can let you approach speeds upwards of 100mph with ease. It also has the power and torque to drive up snaking mountain roads with ease. The suspension is comprised of a telescopic fork in the front and a twin sided swing arm in the rear for a comfortable ride for both the rider and passenger. The exhaust system is more sporty and stylish than most other maxi scooter exhaust systems which makes the 2008 QLINK Splendor 400 more aggressive looking while increasing exhaust air flow. The Splendor comes standard with hydraulic calipers and large discs making for a quality braking system that is completely capable of stopping all 400+ pounds of scooter and rider. The Splendor also comes with a large windshield, a very wide floor board, an ergonomically designed seat and perfectly positioned handle bars, all combining to make for a very comfortable and easy riding scooter.
