An Italian motorcycle with some real history, the 2008 Moto Guzzi California hasn’t changed much since its 1972 inception. However, there’s good reason for the continuity. The Moto Guzzi California is a sport touring motorcycle that handles very well. The transverse Moto Guzzi V-twin engine’s is a hard-working sound and although the bike overall is not superb in any one area, it’s an excellent all-around motorcycle. There are a few versions, including the Moto Guzzi California Classic, retro-style Moto Guzzi Vintage and Moto Guzzi California Touring.
The Moto Guzzi California has been known as a poor-man’s Harley, but this cruiser has a cult following all around the world. This is simply because the 2008 Moto Guzzi Caliornia delivers sturdy, comfortable travel, with low maintenance for miles on end. The engine has grown over the years and gained fuel injection, with better transmission packages, and a collection of luggage and accessories. Still, beneath all of the updates since 1972, the 2008 Moto Guzzi California remains the only serious long distance Italian motorcycle.
This year’s model only comes in a black color and has only a few available accessories to add to the base. However there is plenty of room to add storage, with an optional fuel tank bag and a mini trunk bag to go along with the bike cover storage to protect the 2008 Moto Guzzi California.
