2008 Husqvarna TC 250

The 2008 Husqvarna TC is an excellent off-road bike with really good brakes, a decent exhaust tone, and a Euro-type look that many riders like. The look of the Husqvarna TC hasn't changed much since it was introduced in 2002. However, the bike is not very fast. The power delivery to the wheel is a bit weak but if the rider keeps the throttle revved up, the bike can achieve a descent top speed. When the bike feels like it is ready to shift, the rider can hold down the throttle a bit longer and the bike will continue to produce power. This can be very useful for jumps and maneuvering around corners.

The suspension was also improved with the addition of Kayaba components in the front and rear rather than sticking with the traditional Sachs shocks and WP forks. The new suspension makes it much easier to set the bike up for any level of rider, and furthermore is easier to find a suspension shop to dial it in and re-valve. The suspension is a more soft set up however the bike does turn remarkable well. The turning capabilities of the TC 250R is considered one of the more desired systems on current 250cc four-strokes. Other impressive parts on the bike are over-sized bars, a titanium Akrapovic exhaust system, Brembo brakes, Regina chain and sprockets, and a hydraulic clutch.

This bike is built for the weekend warrior rider more than it is for the advanced intermediate. This is a reliable bike with well-equipped parts for the rider looking for a quality weekend bike.

• DOHC Red Head design inspired by BMW’s F1 race program which not only offers a better engine arrangement but gives a stark contrast between the engine compartment and the rest of the bike.
• Fuel system upgraded to Keihin EFI which increases fuel flow to the engine when the throttle is engaged as well as increases efficient use of fuel which prevents any engine flooding and helps increase riding time. In addition, it eliminates the need for a hot start lever.
