2007 Schwinn Sport LX 150

The 2007 Schwinn Sport LX is a scooter from famous United States bike manufacturer Schwinn, released for the 2007 model year. A carryover from 2006, the ‘07 Sport LX marked the bike’s second model year. Schwinn designed and marketed the Sport LX as a sports-oriented scooter, with the manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $2,399.

The 2007 Schwinn Sport LX is also referred to as the Sport LX 150. The three-digit suffix represents the scooter’s engine displacement, which is measured at 150 cubic centimeters. The engine is a four-stroke single-cylinder unit, with a single overhead camshaft of two valves on the cylinder. The engine is paired with a Continuously Variable Transmission, or CVT. This type of transmission, unlike others, can choose from an unlimited number of effective gears, thus making the engine run more efficiently. The end result is increased fuel efficiency from the bike. The CVT, which is an automatic gearbox, also puts the driver at ease, instead of waiting for when to shift to the next gear.

For the best performance, the ‘07 Schwinn Sport LX requires premium fuel, which it can take up to 1.7 gallons in its gas tank. A carburetor and engine kick-starter ensure a swift engine ignition: especially essential for colder days.

The 2007 Schwinn Sport LX 150 is available as an all-black or red-and-black bike. For braking, the scooter uses the traditional front disc brake, rear drum brake layout. Like many other bikes, the ‘07 Sport LX’s suspension consists of a telescopic fork in the front and twin-sided swing arm at the back. For analog instrumentation, the scooter offers a speedometer and fuel level warning gauge. Other standard features on the ‘07 Sport LX include halogen lights in the front for lighting when driving at night; rearview mirrors for increased visibility; and under-seat, helmet and glove box/dash storage. For seating, Schwinn provides a one-vinyl seat big enough for two people.

Each 2007 Schwinn Sport LX has a length of nearly 60 inches, width of 26.2 inches and height of 44.2 inches. Its dry weight is 244.5 lbs.
