The 2005 Moto Guzzi Nevada continued the transition of the original Nevada nameplate – which was produced from 1991 to 2001 – from a more sport-oriented model to a more touring-focused bike. The 2005 Moto Guzzi Nevada uses disc brakes – specifically, a 12.6-inch (320-mm) dual disc at the front, and a smaller, 10.2-inch (260-mm) disc at the back. The suspension on the cruiser comprises a 1.6-inch (40-mm) Marzocchi telescopic fork and twin-sided aluminum swing arm with two shock absorbers. Each 2005 Nevada drives on front 18-inch and rear 16-inch steel wheels, wrapped in tubed tires.
Available as a black or gray cruiser, the 2005 Moto Guzzi Nevada has a steel frame for sturdiness. Fork guards, side covers, and front and rear fenders dress up the Nevada's sleek frame. On the bike is a one-piece vinyl seat for the driver and a passenger. Instrumentation on the dashboard of the 2005 Nevada includes a tachometer, trip odometer, speedometer, and temperature and fuel-level warning lights. Also included on each cruiser are a halogen headlight and a pair of side mirrors for improved visibility.
The 2005 Moto Guzzi has a length of 87 inches (2,209.8 mm), width of 34.4 inches (875 mm), height of 46.5 inches (1,180 mm), and a wheelbase of 58.4 inches (1,482 mm). The ground clearance and seat height of each bike are 7.5 inches (190 mm) and 30 inches (770 mm), respectively. The dry weight of the 2005 Nevada is estimated at 388 lbs. (176 kilograms).
