2004 Honda CRF 250X

The Honda CRF series was first launched in 2002 to replace the XR series and focus on off-roading and motocross. There was a wide-range of nine different youth and off-roading bikes that launched for the first time in Honda’s 2004 CFR series. The entire series was new, minus the update to the 2003 Honda 450R. The base MSRP for the Honda CRF 50 is around $1,200, the 2004 Honda CRF 100 MSRP is around $2,200 and the CRF 450R sells for around $6,500. Many riders like these bikes because they are dependable and comfortable as well.

Riders often credit the suspension on the CRF models for making the bike so easy to handle. The comfortable one-piece vinyl seat made for a single driver also helps makes the ride more comfortable for the rider. These motocross bikes also come with foot pegs for the driver as well. Riders tend to heavily favor the 2004 Honda CRF 150F and 250X against other bikes on the market. However, the 450R, 250F and 100F are believed to be much closer in comparison to their respective 2003 predecessors and other bikes currently available.

Many riders feel the 2004 Honda 100F is a great starter bike for a novice rider. The Honda 100F can quickly get up to around 60 mph. Riders also like that these off-roading motorbikes come equipped with electric starters as well. The CRF series should be one of the first options to consider when looking for the right type of off-roading motorbike.

• Honda released the CRF 50F, 70F, 80F, 100F, 150F, 230F, 250R and the CRF 250X in 2004 along with a new model of the 450R from 2003.
• The CRF 100F was a revision of the XR 100R 2003 model that redesigned the height of the seat, the suspension and the graphics as well.
• Surveyed riders indicated that there was a substantial overall preference for the 2003 450R model when compared to the 2004 edition and other motorcycles currently out on the market.
• Riders favored the 2003 Honda 450R in every category of the survey including engine performance, touring capabilities, racing track capabilities design and reliability.
• Riders also felt the 2003 Honda 450R was more fun and safer on the road than the 2004 Honda 450R. Riders also favored the 2003 XR 100R over Honda’s 2004 CRF 100R release.
