2004 Harley-Davidson Electra Glide Ultra Classic

Intro

The purpose of touring motorcycles is to provide power, amenities, and a relatively comfortable ride going down the highway in the open air. The 2004 Harley-Davidson Electra Glide Standard, Electra Glide Classic, and Electra Glide Ultra Classic are ""Made In USA"" touring cruisers that compete with Honda Gold Wing, Victory Cross, and Yamaha Star models.

Big twin engines and telescopic forks are characteristic of touring models. Oversized saddlebags, rear coilover air suspension, stereo radios and CBs distinguish the touring bike from other models. All Electra Glide models use the same frame. Safety and convenience features include large fairings and windshields, fuel tanks with capacities for long-range travel and stowage space. Electra Glides are identified by their fork-mounted fairing or ""Batwing.""

Both 2004 Electra Glide Standard and Electra Glide Ultra Classic received 5-star ratings in performance, ride and comfort, reliability, and value. The 2004 Electra Glide Classic rated 4 stars in performance, ride and comfort, reliability, and value.

The 2004 Electra models have standard dimensions; a 63.5-inch wheelbase. It is 93.7 inches long, weighing 758 pounds empty, has a five-gallon fuel tank, and 5.1 inches of ground clearance. The Electra models are equipped with16-inch diameter front and back aluminum wheels and a 63-inch wheelbase.

There are many standard features on the Electra Glide models from the fuel injection engine, ESPFI California emissions, and carburetor (California emissions), to chrome luggage rack, radio and CD player, and electronic sequential port. Oil gauge kit, guard-mounted fog lamp kit, and fairing lowers provide safety and weather protection. All models come equipped with the Harley-Davidson Factory Security System. Laced wheel option, the nylon touring luggage and day bag system, passenger pillion-mounted overnight SAC bag, and passenger pillow-type backrest pad add comfort to the touring cruiser.

Although multi-lingual instrumentation, GPS, lap timer, navigation system, trip computer, and a shift light are not available, the Electra Glide’s standard digital instrumentation does feature a clock, fuel gauge and level warning, temperature gauge, tachometer, odometer and speedometer, and high-beam indicator. There is a water bottle storage compartment as well as ample storage under the seat and in the lighted glove box.

Engine Displacement (to weight) is 1.9 cc. It boasts 86 lb-ft of torque at 3500 RPMs.
